Logistic Officers

This is a physically demanding portfolio. As a Logistic Officer, you have to ensure that all the props and equipment needed for the various events are prepared and set up beforehand. During the event, you have to be around to cater to emergency needs of the committee or event participants. You will be surprised as to how many special requests there will be! That is when flexibility and resourcefulness come in useful. Even after the event, you will need to ensure that everything you have set up is cleared properly and returned to where they came from. The key word then: Accountability! So, as you can see, being a Log-O is not a bed of roses! So where does the satisfaction come from? Generally, the Logistic Officers and their sub-committee members are close-knitted buddies. Despite their different reasons for joining the committee, they often end their term as great pals because they work together so closely. Doing the planning and actual setting up and clearing may be physically tiring, but the enjoyment and challenge of catering to all needs in a short period of time, and then ensuring all stores are accounted for at the end of the day, is definitely worthwhile!
