The Hon. Gen. Sec., as the chief administrative officer of the club, has to assist the President in the performing of administrative duties. As the HGS, you would be in charge of all official records and the awarding of weights under the HAS, acting as a bridge between the club and the Students' Affairs Office. You would also be the receiver and generator of all official correspondence between the club and other organisations both inside and outside NTU. That said, HGS also ought to be diplomatic and have both organisational skills as well as persuasiveness (as it is the HGS that fights for our points) to be truly effective. The A. Hon. Gen. Sec. assists the HGS in managing the administrative side of the club's activities and must be a highly organised person. Also as the main person in-charge of generating the minutes of our formal meetings, you would also have to be fully attentive and alert during all meetings, while the rest of us can sometimes be guilty of momentary lapses of concentration (not that we really are guilty of course!).
